Dedicated to exploring North Carolina’s wildlife, the Pisgah Center for Wildlife Education provides a number of attractions, including hands-on exhibits on fish management and conservation, three aquariums containing native aquatic species and a garden display designed to attract local wildlife. Beside the center is the Race Way, a large outdoor pool that holds more than 80,000 trout used for stocking the area's rivers and lakes. The center is nestled inside Pisgah Forest less than 5 miles northeast of Brevard.
